Additionally, I asked for a llm to query for possible related projects to this case based on the data I already had. So summarizing its findings: it seems that a project called alkanes-rs did a fork in its way of working in height 972000, which matches the last P2A chains being relayed/mined – and if that’s really the case, invalidates my initial hypothesis that it stopped due to vps reboots related to CVE-2026-99999.

Yes, that project (what ever it does, I don’t know) seems to very much related.

Protocol data | subfrost.io and Alkanes — share of Bitcoin OP_RETURN both show the number of transactions dying down around October 18th, right when the reconstructions got better again.

I haven’t found any P2P code that pushes out these transactions yet.
